RETIREMENT SURVIVORS AND DISABILITY (RSDI) BENEFITS
The Social Security Administration has two programs that pay disability
benefits. The first is Retirement, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (RSDI).
In order to be eligible for RSDI, you must have a medical condition
that prevents you from working any job and the condition must be
severe enough that it will last at least one year. There are rules that
make proving disability easier as you turn 50, 55, and 60.
In addition to your medical condition, you must have worked and paid
Social Security taxes for five out of the last ten years to qualify for
RSDI benefits. You must also be able to prove that you cannot perform
your former job or any other type of work, unless you are over 50 years
of age.
Call today for a free case evaluation that will help determine if your
situation qualifies for possible RSDI benefits.
